We were founded in 1987 as Oklahoma was reeling from the oil bust, and architects were among the professionals fleeing the state for greener pastures. But instead of running, Bockus Payne decided to stand firm and face the wind. Almost four decades later, that commitment to our community and its people hasn’t wavered. Our work always starts in the same place: with people. We want to deeply understand the context, mission, and goals of every project. We listen, observe, and research to build spaces that are truly functional for the people who use them. Then, we get to work.
