Plum Architecture was founded in 2014 by Cole Robertson, who was born and raised in eastern Montana. Inspiration of our work comes via the aesthetics of steel, millwork, glass, and simple structures that inform iconic western design. Fascinated by the endless possibilities in how these materials could dovetail and root within the landscapes of the West led him to Montana State University, where he earned a master's in architecture. Philosophy Integrating wood and steel, structure and space, lines and curves, human elements and the natural world — an exploration of balance and interplay forms the foundation of our work at Plum. We provide clients with clean perspectives and understated elegance, melding form with function for built environments that serve practicality in their structure while inspiring wonder in their form. Our designs are inspired by — and speak to — the architecture of the past, the innovation of the present, and the living landscapes where everything is rooted. Process When you work with the team at Plum Architecture, expect to become part of the creative process. Roll up your sleeves, sharpen your pencil, and be ready to put all your wildest ideas on the table. We are proud to have created a truly collaborative design environment where clients and builders see their vision expressed in every wall, and every joint, of the finished build. Our greatest reward is achieving livability, luxury, and your enduring satisfaction — we design for life.
