Tom has more than a decade of courthouse experience. He is a member of the North Dakota Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Larimer County Bar Association, and American Bar Association. Tom Severin grew up in Bismarck where attended Bismarck High School. He began his college career in France, studying in Nice and Paris, before returning to the U.S. to attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. As an undergraduate student, Tom also spent a semester in the Patagonia wilderness in Chile with the National Outdoor Leadership School. Shortly after graduating from college with a B.A. in History, Tom moved to New Zealand to experience life in a different corner of the world. Upon his return to the U.S. once again, Tom found work in the oil and gas industry, proud to help his native North Dakota become a player on the world stage. The work took him to several states, and after meeting his wife in Wyoming he decided to pursue a law degree, and earned a Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University’s Law School. Tom now divides his time between North Dakota and Northern Colorado with his wife and two kids, camping and travelling whenever possible. Tom has worked in civil litigation for private and corporate clients, and has also spent several years in the Oil & Gas industry negotiating with property owners and handling all types of land title issues. He is a member of the North Dakota and Colorado Bar Associations.
